Community Involvement

April 2021 – May 2023 Treasurer– Lemonwood Grove School PTA

I served as Treasurer for the newly established Lemonwood Grove School PTA, where I played a pivotal role in helping the Office Bearers register the PTA as a charity and establish a constitution. I managed all financial operations, including overseeing petty cash, banking, and reconciling bank accounts. I regularly prepared and presented Treasurer’s Reports at monthly committee meetings, providing key financial insights to support decision-making for fundraising activities and expenditure. In this role, I ensured that strong financial management procedures were implemented, contributing to the PTA’s long-term sustainability and success.


June 2019 – June 2022 Treasurer– Burnham Nursery and Preschool Governance Committee

While employed by Burnham Nursery and Preschool, I also served as Treasurer for the Governance Committee. In this role, I prepared and presented monthly financial reports, ensuring that the committee clearly understood the financial data to support informed decision-making. Additionally, I aided with funding applications and played an active role in overseeing the financial management of the preschool, contributing to its ongoing financial stability.


April 2015 – August 2017 Chairperson– Burnham Nursery and Preschool Governance Committee

I served as Chairperson of the Governance Committee at Burnham Nursery and Preschool, a not-for-profit organisation. Motivated by my desire to contribute to my children's education and the wider Burnham community, I worked closely with the Centre Director on various tasks, including recruitment, teacher appraisals, fundraising, and administration. I also played a key role in overseeing Ministry of Education reviews and chaired monthly committee meetings. July 2015 – March 2018 Treasurer– Burnham Neighbourhood Playgroup

From July 2015 to March 2018, I served as Treasurer for the Burnham Neighbourhood Playgroup. In this role, I attended monthly committee meetings and provided detailed financial statements to all members. I managed the group's finances, including applying for Ministry of Education funding and recording all transactions in compliance with MOE requirements.
