I graduated from the University of Surrey in England in 2012. Obtaining my nurses registration and bachelor of science degree with first class honours. I have worked in a variety of areas. In the UK, I worked on a general surgical ward, ENT, high dependency and general intensive care and as a specialist bowel cancer screening practitioner. I moved to New Zealand in June 2015 and have worked in cardiothoracic intensive care at Auckland Hospital, bureau nursing at North Shore hospital in general surgical and medical wards and intensive care. In 2016 I became a patient coordinator for a plastic surgeon's private practice in Remuera Auckland. I left this role in September 2019 to have my daughter. In November 2020 I returned to work acquiring a position at The University of Auckland as a research nurse within the Department of Surgery and School of Medicine. I left this role at the end of May 2021 to have my second daughter. In August 2022 I was offered a casual research nurse position within The Swallowing Research Laboratory in the Centre of Brain Research at The University of Auckland, led by Dr Miles and Dr Allen. I carried out this role inbetween caring for my two younger children and whilst pregnant with my third child, until November 2024. In December 2024 to current date I was offered and accepted a position at Auckland Sleep as patient navigator.

• Calling patients to discuss issues regarding their upper airway and sleep
therapy educating on the patient journey.
• Meeting one on one with patients to explain and troubleshoot issues regarding
the patient’s journey.
• Running independent clinics to offer patients navigation consults, sleep
screening and wound care.
• Booking patients for surgery and managing their pre, peri and post operative
journey.
• Liaising with hospitals to coordinate surgical lists.
• Providing excellent customer service and patient coaching to improve adherence to therapies.
• Providing general information and education to patients regarding ENT and
sleep health issues, Auckland Sleep’s products and services, and other issues related to their care.
• Responsible for reading patient referrals, history and notes, and ensuring patients are followed throughout their services with Auckland Sleep.
• Reviewing electronic patient files for accuracy and as necessary for patient care
per current policy and procedures.
