I pride myself as a diligent, passionate RN with demonstrated success in diverse areas of nursing. I am responsive and agile to dynamic patient needs and environmental conditions. Team oriented and reliable with expert healthcare knowledge and sound clinical judgment. I excel and flourish, by ensuring I deliver excellent health care, including health promotion to ensure my patients are well educated.
I believe that people should remain as independent as possible, therefore; receiving continuity of care within a person-centred manner is essential for patients to gain confidence, in order to live a more autonomous lifestyle.
My peers agree that I am calm and level-headed when handling high-stress situations.
I have excellent communication skills and humour to develop professional relationships with patients and families.
This is my casual position working weekends; I have been working usually 3 shifts a fortnight. Working at Leslie Groves has been beneficial to my nursing practice, as i have thoroughly enjoyed the diversity of skills, and relationship building with staff and residents.
I have worked as a casual resource nurse over the years as is when required basis. This has included; General Nursing- Medical , Surgical and Aged care.
This was my new graduate position in Aged Care. I worked full-time until 2013 and was given the opportunity to train part-time in General Practice and work two days per week. I continued to work in both areas of nursing, to make up full time hours.
I soon discovered a love for diversity, and thanks to early opportunities, I have enjoyed working in a variety of nursing specialties. Usually two jobs at any given time.
