  • Run primary practice as an individual, with no other staff except on a doctor's day, once a week. This includes assessing patients, treating under standing orders, ordering, and even banking.

PROFESSIONAL REFERENCE OF MYSELF

I started nursing in 1988 at Wes Transvaal Nursing College as an enrolled nurse, and completed my course on June 1, 1991. In April 2006, I finished the bridging course for a diploma in general nursing (registered nurse).

In 2007, I immigrated to New Zealand, where I initially worked as a caregiver at Te Aroha Hospital while my credentials were being checked I remained working as a registered nurse until 2010 when I resumed further study and worked in the NICU at Waikato Hospital (2010 - 2012)

From December 2012 until now, I have worked as a rural nurse specialist, public health nurse, and neonatal outreach nurse

Every day and every hour of my day are different depending on the patient in front of me, from a tiny baby to the end of life, or I may get a call out to a medical event or trauma I need to be alert, use my skills to the best of my abilities for the best outcome of the patient.
