Student Project:
I designed a new subdivision with 16 sections and stormwater and wastewater system for my final project in civil engineering. All the calculations and design were according to Tauranga council’s regulations. In addition, a road of 100m in length was designed by me.
Work Project (Giles Civil Ltd)
Client: Signature Construction Consultant Engineer: Civil Plan
I contributed to a 27-lot subdivision project, overseeing the construction of three concrete public roads, kerb and channel, kerb and nib, and public footpaths, along with hardscaping for all 27 lots. My role also involved developing paved car parks, vehicle crossings, and ensuring quality assurance throughout the process. I prepared QA reports, conducted site inspections in collaboration with the civil engineer and Auckland Transport, and ensured all work met safety, regulatory, and performance standards. Additionally, I assisted the operations manager with monthly claims, helping to ensure smooth financial and project tracking.
Client: Signature Construction Consultant Engineer: ENVIVO
This project was the development of a 12-lot subdivision, where I was responsible for managing the construction of the public wastewater system and the private stormwater (soak holes) system. This process involved breaking through volcanic rock, for which I conducted calculations, surveyed the rock piles, calculated their volumes, and managed any variations that arose. Additionally, I ensured quality assurance (QA) throughout the project, monitoring the construction processes to maintain high standards and compliance with regulations.
Client: Signature Construction Consultant Engineer: BECCA
I successfully managed this project, that involved constructing a permeable concrete road, installing kerbs and channels, paving car parks, and all stormwater and wastewater drainage systems.
