I am currently in my final semester of studying at the University of Waikato, pursuing a Bachelor of Business with a major in Accounting. My main focus is to achieve employment at a firm so that I can gain practical experience and begin working towards full-time employment, and make a start toward my journey of becoming a Chartered Accountant.
Working at McDonald's Frankton has been significant to me, as it was where I first developed a genuine willingness to learn and broaden my interpersonal and social skills. This was driven by the unfamiliarity of my environment and my desire to improve and succeed.
I also credit my ability to manage time efficiently and effectively to maintaining a busy schedule during high school, where I participated in 3–4 sports throughout the year. Additionally, balancing part-time employment with university studies has helped me ensure I maintain sufficient study hours and achieve the desired grades.
Through my studies, I have developed the ability to work and communicate effectively within a group setting. This experience has been crucial, as it introduced me to collaborating with individuals from various cultures and backgrounds. It has enhanced my ability to think on my feet, problem-solve, and resolve conflicts when necessary.
