Summary

It is my personal goal to gain a prestigious position within a dynamic and successful learning environment. My experience, knowledge, and ability to role model positive practices enable me to build positive relationships. I like to strive for excellence using supportive frameworks in developing staff confidence and student interest. I have a strong passion for adolescent mental health and the affects that society has on their vulnerability. Recently I have developed a keen interest in neuroscience and how brain development impacts on growing minds. I believe that this knowledge supports me in understanding the behavior of students and how we can positively interact with them to enable adolescents to achieve success without breaking down the teacher student relationship. Helping people and contributing to the school community is also a desire of mine. Liaising and connecting with staff in and outside of your working area is essential to build collegiality and positive working relationships. My key strengths are my positive and accommodating work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills and determination to achieve success. I have an ‘Anything is possible’ approach to everything and strive to be solutions focused. The variety of roles that I have held in and out of school have improved my leadership skills and enabled me to understand the differing needs of students and staff.
