Summary

I am a dedicated and compassionate counsellor, driven by a genuine desire to make a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of young people and their families. I aim to provide a safe and empathetic space from which thoughts, emotions and experiences can be explored and difficulties can be navigated. I always strive to engage in a way that is authentic, meaningful and tailored to meet the needs of individuals and their whanau. My previous experience and ongoing education has improved my ability engage effectively and appropriately with varying cultures and a wide range of presenting issues. Furthermore, I recognize the importance of honoring the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi and creating culturally safe spaces for all students. I am deeply committed to working in a way that acknowledges and respects the unique cultural identities, values, and perspectives of Māori and Pasifika.
