  • While working for Cube, I was tasked with upgrading shipping containers coming off of the boats.
  • The things I was tasked with were to sand the containers down using a battery-powered sander.
  • I also had to repaint certain containers that needed painting.
  • My main focus working here at Qube was making sure we sent the containers back to the suppliers in good condition, which meant I had to pay close attention to detail because one little mistake could cost the company a lot of money if I didn't pay attention.
  • I worked an 11-hour, 4-on-4-off roster.
  • I had to work in a team of five people, or sometimes fewer.
  • Another task I had to do was a quality check, which consisted of me going through every container we had finished and double-checking that we had done our job right and that the containers were in a good state.
  • I also had to be prepared to travel to different work sites during the day, as we were never really in one place.
