Bagpiping- As a member of the Hamilton Caledonian Society Bagpipe Ensemble and their Grade 3 band. For 6 years, Bagpiping has brought me joy and discipline, performing at weddings, group contests and solo contests and is a future passion I long to pursue in my life, aiming to make NZ’s top band, Manawatu G1.
Bush Related Adventures- Ever since Tihoi ending on the 30th of November last year, being in the bush has been a second home to me. Whether it be identifying a safe fruit to eat, to traversing across unforgiving, rigorous trails, the bush can contain so much oppurtunity and is a force of nature that is not to be reckoned with.
Surfing- Since a young boy surfing and being around the ocean has been a key part in my character development. Like the bush the beach is a force to be reckoned with and the fact I am fortunate enough to paddle out once a week to go for a surf is a mental reset and a time where I can do something I love. Its taught me that sometimes its good to let a wave go and wait for the next one as not everything in life is perfect but sometimes you just have to make do with what you have got.
