Oliver Dearlove

As a processor/cataloguer at Wheelers, I was given many different responsibilities that sped up the process of getting books to their libraries. Some of these tasks included.

• Unpacking boxes from the warehouse.
• Using a website called SCIS to organise books into their different categories.
• Giving books their record numbers.
• Used Word documents to type up the different spine labels for each book, for their libraries.
• I was in charge of printing the spine labels for 5 libraries as well as, the labels for a large project that was replacing books that were destroyed during the floods, across NZ
• I also did other small tasks around the building to help other workers.

Working at Rawfish was a part-time holiday job while I was back home in the Cook Islands. I would often work alone at this establishment.

• I would open up shop and get everything ready display wise for customers.
• Helped customers with any inquiries they had about the products or the store.
• I was in charge of any and all sales.
• Restocking shelves and clothes racks whenever it was required.
• At the end of the day, I would pack everything away. Do the cash out for the day, which involved both cash and an eftpos machine. Then I would lockup shop.

I was a waiter while working at LBV. However I was in charge of many different jobs, rather then just being strictly a runner for the kitchen.

• I would run food out to tables as well as bring dirty/finished dishes to the kitchen.
• I was also a washer cleaning many dishes for the next customers.
• Was in charge of making the cold drinks such as. -

-Iced coffees/iced chocolates

-Smoothies

-Milkshakes

• I would also serve food from the front cabinets and restock it with food from the kitchen.
• Help with making said food/snacks in the kitchen.
• I often dealt with cleanup/lock up at the end of the day. Doing tasks such as packing up food, cleaning tables and mopping/sweeping.
