  • Led a team of four people based in Sydney, while I was based in Auckland: great communication, flexibility and effective use of technology was critical to my success as a leader of this team.
  • Developed and implemented strategic and tactical programs to manage an assigned portfolio of suppliers to achieve "One Taste McDonald's" My portfolio included Potato, Dairy, Confectionary, Formulated Foods, Fresh Produce, Bakery and Beverages.
  • New product development for multiple products, including frappe mix for McCafe launch.
  • Managed regulatory approvals by ensuring compliance with the Food Standards Code and accuracy of information including nutrition and product claims in the public domain across NZ and Australia: POP, advertising (print, TVC, tray mats, packaging) and mobile ordering.

Regulatory Affairs Manager, December 2025-April 2008 (Sydney & China)

  • Approval and compliance of all product packaging and associated advertising material ensuring compliance with all relevant food and trade standards.
  • Provided technical and nutritional advice regarding the development of new products including product claims
  • Lived in Wuhan, China for almost one year to implement the Food Safety & Quality System at a new bakery GWF built there.
  • Acted as the QA Site Manager at Top Taste Cakes in Kedron, Queensland, Australia for six months managing the site Food Safety & Quality program.
