Skills

Communication

This is a skill I strengthened while working at Champion Dental Centre, while working as a dental assistant clear communication with my dentist, patients and co-Workers would allow the day to go smoothly and insure everything would go as accordingly Also answering the phone and booking appointments when required, It is vital that I can communicate clearly and efficiently

Time Management

Time management is a skill I've built from my habit of planning my days ahead to prioritise things that need to be achieved While working at Champion Dental we start 15 minutes earlier to ensure the surgery and the sterilisation area is prepared for the assistants, dentist and the first patient of the day

Cash Handling

Cash handling was an essential part of my role while working in hospitality Direct cash handling, operating eftpos machines and till reconciliation at the end of my hospitality shifts This was also useful while helping reception at Champion Dental

Leadership

There were times that I was required to step into a leadership role at Dominos and Champion Dental, leading my co-workers in the right direction and exercising problem-solving skills when, as a team, we were faced with a challenging situation Using leadership while working as a nanny was essential to set a positive environment and experience for learning

Empathy and compassion

Working at Champion Dental being compassionate and showing empathy towards my patients has been a large part of my role As many people struggle with dental related-anxiety I like to ensure all of our patients have a positive experience while they are at the dentist
