I have a relatively decent amount of experience on the wards and in operating theatres I know to how scrub and how to avoid contaminating the sterile field I have specifically scrubbed and assisted in; total hip arthroplasty (lateral approach), total knee arthroplasty (open approach), laparoscopic cholecystectomy, subtotal colectomy and Anterior Corpectomy with C5-C7 spinal fusion using PEEK cage and osteocel bone graft
I have observed countless more surgeries including (but not limited to); Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, Arthroscopic ACL Repair, TURP, TURBT, Total Parotidectomy with Anterior Neck Dissection and Laparoscopic Anterior Resection in the various attachments that I have done in my two clinical years of study
Statement of Purpose
I am a medical student who has just finished their 5th year of training. I am currently in the market for a casual retail job over the summer break before I start my final year of medical school before I become a doctor! I am relatively flexible with regards to my availability, though given that this is my last summer break before engaging in some pretty gruelling work. I would equally like to enjoy my break, so I am wanting to have part-time hours. I hope that you are able to consider my application and I look forward to hearing form you soon.
