I am a first year solicitor in the corporate/M&A team at Simpson Grierson where I have built strong legal analytical skills and transactional expertise. With a background in finance, I now wish to apply these skills in the finance industry.

Extensive transactional/deal experience undertaking a variety of roles, such as:

• Acting for the vendor on a ~$1.3bn sale (May 2024 – present). Roles have included leading the vendor due diligence process, drafting vendor disclosure schedules, and all associated attendances.
• Acting for Auckland Council on its $1.3bn sale of shares in Auckland International Airport (December 2024). Roles included assisting with the establishment of transaction documents, NZX notices, and various attendances on the launch date.
• Acting for the purchaser on a potential ~$30m acquisition (October 2024 – present). Roles have included leading the purchaser due diligence process, managing the due diligence call, and assisting with the sale agreement and disclosure letter.
• Acting for the purchaser on a ~$250m acquisition (September 2024 – present). Roles have included leading various due diligence workstreams and providing ongoing transactional assistance.
• Acting for Comvita (NZX: CVT) on its takeover offer (May 2024). Roles included preparing the scheme booklet and providing ongoing transactional assistance.
• Acting for Lakeland Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ: LAKE) on its acquisition of Pacific Helmets (December 2023). Roles included leading the due diligence process and assisting with transaction documents.
• Acting for the purchaser on a potential ~$40m acquisition (December 2023). Roles included leading the due diligence process and assisting with transaction documents.

Establishment of the Auckland Future Fund on behalf of Auckland Council (July 2024). Roles included drafting key structural and governance documents, including the Services Agreement and constitution, and providing general transactional support.

Ongoing and direct client interactions. Notable experience includes leading a due diligence management call.
