OSCAR SALMOND

I am a driven finance student at the University of Otago with a proven academic record (GPA 7.5 in Finance, GPA 5.9 cumulative) and a passion for investment analysis. I am seeking the opportunity to secure an internship or Graduate role at PWC in their corporate finance team. I possess strong financial modeling skills and a deep interest in the New Zealand and global financial markets.

• Avid Surfer: I have spent much of my life and free time in and around the oceans,weather it be with family and friends or on my own as a way to wind down. It has taken me all over the country and the world and has
  helped me experience different cultures and communities.
• Completed the Christchurch Duathlon with the flu: Undertook a duathalon while severly inpaired by he flu. I ran 5km followed by a 24km Cycle (on a bike with a flat front tire) followed by a final 2.5km run.
• Keen Skier: Skiing has been a great part of my life, I have competed as a racer in both GS and slalom disciplines. I spend a lot of free time exploring mountains and terrain around the south island.
• World Markets & News: I spend a small portion of every day staying up to date with current events, I also like tracking M&A activity across the world as well as seeing how world events interact with stock prices and over all market sentiment.
• Swam the Hahei to Cathedral cove loop: Completed a 4.5km ocean swim loop from Hahei Beach to Cathedral cove.
