Ten years ago, my wife and I made the big decision to move to New Zealand. I am now a resident of Aotearoa and I'm working as a farm manager on a large-scale intensive dairy goat farm in Whangārei. Bringing my scientific background to the role, over the last five years, I've solved problems like pasture systems due to a changing climate and developing the methane emissions control program. Similarly, I've adapted fertilization procedures to improve and protect soil and adjusted to the MPI standards, all the while keeping an eye on animal health. In the last 4 years I have been working to improve the production system, caring for the environment, minimizing the environmental impact and at the same time reducing production costs.
