Research: Soft Robotic Mattress based on PEANO-HASEL Actuator

Status: Ongoing (Started: Aug, 2023)
Role: Lead Researcher/Research Assistant (whichever applies)
Objective: To develop a soft robotic mattress using Peano-HASEL actuators, targeting adjustable firmness for enhanced
patient comfort.
Methods:

  • Currently using advanced 3D sketching for initial design, chosen for its ability to facilitate effective communication
    with advisors.
  • Plan to employ AutoCAD for more formalized design specifications.
    Anticipate using ANSYS or similar software for Finite Element Analysis (FEA) in the future stages.

Preliminary Results:

  • Completed comprehensive 3D sketch that serves as the blueprint for the project.
  • Established a project plan for component assembly and prototype development.
