National Training and Systems Manager

Kroma Colour Prints
03.1994 - 10.2005

When I first started at Kroma I was only 20 and knew nothing about film or photography, I embraced every opportunity to learn, and quickly took on all aspects of the photolab.

I travelled around NZ opening other labs with the Director of the company, and that is where my role of training and systems manager came in. My duties included

* Hiring and Firing of all team members including managers, and their supervisors

* Train all team members from the management down in the ways that Kroma preferred I created and maintained policy documentation on troubleshooting systems, detailing best practices and inherent go which I also worked on the format of how these tasks were to be performed

* Customer service was key to our business, I taught all aspects from first contact to when things go wrong, with customers often irreplaceable memories

* Photography was a high stress emotional industry. I Responded to incidents quickly, troubleshot problems and corrected faults.
