Summary

Committed and passionate worker in all fields that I have involved myself in throughout my young career. I have a variety of different skill sets through past life and work experiences. I have a passion for Health, Te Ao Maori and working with youth. I am a recent graduate at the University of Waikato majoring in Community Health and Tikanga Maori. Also wish to pursue further studies in Teaching down the track to carry out my passions. I am not limited to any one field in particular, I have the proven ability to have success in any field I am put in to with hard work, accountability and dedication.

Work History

Support Worker (Team Leader)

  • Worked with and supported clients with everyday activities to maintain general wellness. Clients varied in ages from 10 - 50 all with major and/or minor disabilities. Clients also varied in severity of attention with 24hr care and some only hourly for mentoring.
  • Promoted to Team Leader after working a couple months as a Support Worker. The Team Leader was not only maintaining the work as a Support Worker but also managing rosters, conversation and planing with parents/social workers with goals and strategies around bettering the services and living circumstances for each client.

    • Operated equipment safely and efficiently to prevent damage to items and avoid injuries.

  • Initially began working as a health advisor, taking inbound calls on the COVID Healthline with over 40 calls per day.
  • Supported individuals and families with questions and queries around COVID-19, mitigating hesitancy and conferring reassuring advice to the public.
  • Later promoted to be a supervisor where I would coach, train and supervise other advisors to be able to make and take calls and sustain quality in calls and professionalism in the workspace.
  • Partake in nationwide meetings to discuss processes and changes within the realm of COVID-19

  • Working as a minder for children aged 5-18 with all different and challenging backgrounds from the Waikato District.
  • Shifts varied from 24 hour care at residential flats/ boys homes to general transport from A to B.
  • Plenty of different trainings to support and enable workers to deal and work with children who may have mental/physical disabilities or any issues that arise from children's background and upbringing.

  • Worked quickly and effectively in several different kiwifruit orchards to produce and deliver thousands of kiwifruit to companies. Tasks that where executed included, picking, pruning, thinning, supervising, checking for plant diseases and tractor driving.
