Accomplishments
In August, 2023, the Railways Administration based in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh started a demolition drive (demolishing houses of over 500 families) in an area
mainly occupied by a minority religious community on the ground that the said community were unauthorised occupants who had illegally occupied land belonging
to the Railways.
Based on a complete critical analysis of the past and existing legislation, I approached the affected community and encouraged them to approach the Supreme Court for a swift intervention of their humanitarian and legal rights. Soon thereafter, a Petition was filed in the Supreme Court seeking protection of the community's rights and rehabilitation of those who have already been affected by the demolition activities. Based on the evidence shown and arguments made, the Supreme Court graciously granted protection to the affected persons.
This case gained widespread media attention as the disputed land was situated on the birthplace of Lord Krishna (Hindu God).
