I am a Senior Manager with BDO Auckland’s IFRS Advisory department, being a team of financial reporting and accounting standards experts that provide consultation and support services to entities of varying sizes, scales, sectors and industries across New Zealand.
My expertise involves advising external clients over complex accounting transactions and application of complex accounting standards along with assisting clients in their financial reporting requirements. With my strong experience in leading and managing IFRS transitions, I focus on assisting corporate entities in NZ to first-time adopt IFRS reporting framework.
I have been part of the Capital Markets Disclosure team at the Financial Market Authorities (FMA) wherein I was heavily involved in the quality reviews of large FMC’s in NZ.
I have spent last 7 years in the accounting advisory and financial reporting space. Prior to this, I have been an auditor for 5 years with Grant Thornton.
This mix of experience enables me to provide invaluable perspectives that aid in bridging the gap between complex areas of accounting application, and, client outcomes that are pragmatic and practicable whilst also maintaining necessary compliance with requirements.
