I am currently working as a registered nurse in te toka tumai (Auckland city hospital) in cardio thoracic surgical unit in ward 42. I am hard working individual with an interest for further personal development. before i become a nurse, I have worked in differ healthcare settings as healthcare assistant and now i have been working in the current ward 11 months. I am passionate to improve my knowledge around disparities in health care. Agile and responsive to dynamic patient needs, team-oriented and reliable with expert healthcare knowledge, clear verbal and written communication skills and sound clinical judgment. As I am aware of my own culture, I am emphasized in provide care in a culturally safe manner to minimize inequalities in healthcare towards patients and their whanau. To all the patients I have encountered, I have practiced care with professional values such as patient cantered care, respect, compassion, autonomy and honesty to excel in my clinical placement and I will continue to uphold these values to the best of my ability for future nursing.
