• Testing protective equipment used by Connetics and Orion field staff working out on the network. This included gloves and sleeves rated from 230V up to 40kV, insulated pole sticks, live line tools and cover-up equipment.

• Testing bucket trucks used for live line work.
• Keeping a record of test periods on equipment and ensuring it was kept in test.
• Providing testing services to other customers such as other network operators, arborists and electricians.

Completed my electrical apprenticeship during this time.

• Maintenance and new installs of transformers, switchgear, and other substation equipment on the Orion Network.

• Greeting clients promptly and providing or assisting them to find the products that they need. If product is not in stock, sourcing it from a supplier as promptly as possible. Helping them to find solutions.

• Read and interpreted drawings to provide wiring layouts for new installations
