  • The establishment, launch and positioning of a new lifestyle proposition as Aotearoa came out of lockdown in 2020
  • This included co-managing all branding, design, brand and content strategy, media/PR opportunities and key strategic partnerships with The Spinoff and Viva on launch, negotiating the acquisition of the company by Stuff one year later, and working with key senior leaders in the business to enhance and expand their lifestyle offering with a focus on commercial integrations

Since the launch of Ensemble we’ve:

  • Built to a readership of 110k unique visitors per month, 8.8k eDM subscribers and 11.4k Instagram followers
  • Leveraged our connections to shoot and interview a wide range of celebrities in NZ fashion, such as Lorde, Rose Matafeo, Melanie Lynskey, Erana James and Marlon Williams.
  • Had our stories shared and mentioned internationally by industry watchdog Diet Prada, influencer Bryan Boy, the Daily Mail, Pop Crave
  • Won Best Digital Brand at the 2021 and 2022 Magazine Publishers Award
  • Our Ensemble Edit shoppable runway, sponsored by Samsung (a relationship I managed) Won Best Brand Event at the 2022 Magazine Publishers and was awarded silver at the International Media Awards held in NY early this year.
  • Worked with the trading, commercial and commercial content teams to set rates and ad packages, including cross-platform opportunities that brought significant new business to Stuff
  • Was key client liaison for all brand partnerships including responding to briefs and then overseeing execution of campaigns.
  • Built significant relationships both internally and externally to allow the brand to flourish and thrive.
  • Worked closely alongside my co-founder Zoe Walker Ahwa, editorial director at Ensemble, to identify commercial opportunities and proactive pitches arising from them.
  • Managed a number of highly regarded brand events; from exclusive preview film screenings through to parties.
  • In addition I also acted as a wellbeing advisor to Stuff, resulting in commercial success in this vertical including being involved in winning the business to custom publish Chemist Warehouse’s House of Wellness magazine in Aotearoa.

Contract Project Manager; commercial partnerships

  • Managing select commercial partnerships for Viva; working with those partners on creative strategies and content to help them communicate key brand messages to readers/viewers, and the implementation of said strategies/content
  • Crafting a blend of editorial, advertorial and added value, writing all copy, working with the NZME creative team on page layout and design
  • Directing video content and editing it with the help of their inhouse videographer
  • Managing the expectations of different clients involved, ensuring their objectives are met and serviced while retaining the essence of the Viva editorial voice and feel
  • Working to extremely tight deadlines and budgets to produce publications of editorial excellence with all stakeholders happy

  • Liaising with international PR agencies for the implementation of the above (Sydney, LA and NY)
