Summary

My personal philosophy is based around creating a learning environment where diversity in culture, skills, and knowledge is promoted and celebrated. Creating an environment where students and staff feel fully comfortable to express themselves in their own manner, ask questions, build knowledge, and thrive is integral. I aim to develop quality relationships with diverse demographics, understand their values and motivations, and incorporate these into assisting the growth of the individual. I promote a culture where striving for quality results, personal best and improvement in all aspects of life are promoted. This means the holistic well-rounded individual is celebrated. I understand people as individuals and promote experiences and opportunities that cater to personal growth and development. My approach is largely based on the concept of Hauora and developing the holistic well-being of an individual. I strive to develop their understanding of the importance of this concept as it relates to them now and to the future and how they can best thrive in their environment. Further to this, my philosophy links to creating positive experiences in education and life for all individual stakeholders.
