  • Senior position self-managing machine changeovers on 25 machines and ensuring continuous production is maintained
  • Support one to two trainee setters
  • Provide technical support for between 10 to 13 production operators
  • Sole charge on weekends
  • Induct new staff and instruct new staff how to correctly follow company procedures
  • Prepare all documentation required for die changes such as the Work Order sheet, material requirements, master batch
  • Die setting check list form, Plastrac calculation form and the weighing scale form
  • Load programs into the machine from the IQMS software that controls the schedule and operation of the equipment
  • Run through the program and check all the data
  • Set-up the Plastrac Dosier for master batch and ensure the percentage of colour is correct
  • Perform mould changes incorporating auxiliary equipment, mould cooling system, mould temperature controller, take out robots, and conveyors
  • Perform a full shot with standard holding pressured and check that the weight of product, must reach standard set on (PSD and Work order Sheet)
  • Submit sample to Quality Control for approval
  • Establish the Quality trend on each parameter, fill time, plasticizing time, cycle time, cushion, maximum injection pressure, switch over pressure to form the quality bond graph
  • Analysis of rejects and any machine breakdowns
