  • From December 2021 until February 2024, I started as a Community Support Worker at Whakawhiti Ora Pai, transitioning to a full-time Social Worker upon completing my social work degree. As the sole social worker, I managed all referrals and walk-ins, addressing a wide range of needs, from advocacy to complex cases, such as suicidal ideation. My responsibilities included providing COVID isolation support, overseeing discretionary fund distribution, and ensuring compliance with COVID safety protocols. I also became proficient in Border Control Management Systems, contributing to the community's health and safety. Additionally, I provided guidance in anger management, advocacy, and other community services while managing both administrative and health-related duties.
