Hello! My name is Reuben Cawood, and I am a second-year university student currently flatting. I was fortunate enough to attend Rochester and Rutherford Hall in 2024. The combined experiences of living in halls and flatting has taught me to be adaptable, resilient, and how to live with others effectively.
I am driven by academic motivation, which are reflected in my university results and obtaining excellence and Gold excellence endorsed in all three levels of NCEA, putting myself in a good position for my Law and Commerce double degree in which I am majoring in finance.
I value periods of peace and quiet for time to study and read leisurely. However, I also enjoy socialising with friends and family. A healthy lifestyle is one that combines both academia and socialisation. I have a variety of hobbies, including football (we won the u19s div 1 for UC in 2024), swimming, and fishing. During my time at St Bede’s, I was one of the Redwood House leaders and was a member of the Student Volunteer Organisation. I am employed part-time as a lifeguard through the Christchurch City Council.
