After studying a Bachelor of education and working as a teacher, I was left looking for a occupation that I was passionate about and after some time traveling overseas I found that in the wine industry. Since 2017 I have not looked back gaining extensive experience in the winery both inside and outside of harvest. I have a proven track record of training, supervision and management of Cellar staff.

In charge of all permanent cellar hands and permanent cellar master. Management of all training, training records, SOPS, performance reviews. Ordering all cellar dry goods, LPG and CO2 for the winery. In charge of recruitment of permanent and casual winery staff, in charge of all correspondence with casual vintage staff leading into harvest. Conducting of performance reviews of permanent cellar hands and cellar master. Use of vintrace, Excel and sharepoint. Preparing the winery for audits. Assisting our Hawkey bay winery with vintage recruitment. During vintage in charge of one shift and all casual and permanent staff in the winery. Conducting post vintage reviews and finding continuous improvement for the winery. Building culture in the cellar team.
Coming from a education background I have very strong people skills and I enjoy training staff I have extensive experience both running and training staff on winery equipment including, filtration, less filtration, batch and continuous flotation, press operations, CTS, Centrifuge Ability to manage daily workflow Forklift licence, Confined space ticket Management and budgeting skills
