Self-employed since 2018, leased farms including a 1000ha sheep and beef farm in Pongaroa for 2 years before relocating to a 1700ha sheep and beef farm in Ngamatapouri as the first farm transitioned to pine trees.

2 and a half years ago the farm we are on now once again went into pine trees but we took on the pest control for his farms and i was in control of about 6000ha culling deer , goats, possums, hares and pigs.

In the 2 and a half years i culled over 7000 goats 1000 deer and 1000s of pigs possum and hares. We traveled from waitotara valley to stratford and did day and night shooting trapping and stayed overnight a lot of the times. We also drive atvs utes 2 wheelers over and around the farms along with chainsaw work.

Started working for Don and Jenny around 1997 doing general farm work for around 3 years then trying my hand in the city life for around 18mths.

Resumed role with Don and Jenny after exploring city job opportunities.

Executed agricultural tasks, including irrigation and lambing, ensuring animal welfare and productivity.

Organized breeding season and prepared stock for sale while managing feed during Don's absence.
