I am wanting to join the Air Force at either the end of 2026 or start of 2027 after going back to Camp America for a few months in 2026. I would really like to be a Firefighter in the Air Force as this is something I've wanted to do for a very long time. I believe that everything I've done in my life has benefited me in preparing me for joining the Air Force.
I am a merchandiser for Image Gallery. I go around to stores/supermarkets all over West Auckland to tidy and stock the gift card, bag and wrap areas. I order and unpack stock out into the store making sure it is all stocked up and tidy.
I work in customer service and am a salesperson for Stihl. I sell machines and products to people, machines including:
Chainsaws
Lawnmowers
Blowers
Chippers
Linetrimmers and etc.
I put together the machines and do some maintenance. For example, sharpening chainsaw chains. General stocking of shelves and keeping the showroom tidy/clean
I am a kids coach for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), this is 3 times a week and I coach 6-16 year olds. This job consists of me teaching children BJJ technique and preparing them for competitions but more importantly life skills. I teach children how to be disciplined on and off the mats as it is an amazing way to teach children the rights and wrongs of general life as well as martial arts. I received this job at the age of 16 after attending the kids classes since I was 11 years old and decided to stay instead of leaving. I also personally train BJJ 5 days a week and received a scholarship for my gym from my coaching job.
I worked at Camp Greenville in South Carolina, USA as a shooting sports instructor for 7-17 year olds. This included teaching Riflery, Archery, Hatchet Throwing and BB Guns. I would set the ranges up with the weapons, brief the children of safety before we started and would clean the range and weapons once we were done. I was on a team of 2 and we did this for 8 weeks during the USA Summer. The camp in total was 10 weeks, 2 weeks of staff training and 8 weeks with the kids attending camp. I was part of the Program team which means that I wasn't with the kids 24/7 like the Cabin leaders were, however I would also look after a cabin of kids 1-3 times a week for the night while the Cabin Leaders had time off.
I am heading back to Camp Greenville this year from May to August.
