- Boning and packing venison
- Spent at least 4 years as Health and Safety Rep for venison department and lamb cutting department. Weekly check ups through my department were carried out. This was to ensure the safety of my work mates and to listen to any concerns they might have regarding unsafe working conditions. These concerns would be brought to the attention of the plant H&S Officer at regular meetings. Unit standards were earned during my time in this role.
- Was Leading Hand for approx one year in venison further processing. I had to make sure production flowed smoothly in a room of roughly 25 to 30 people. Team work was vital so client orders could be processed and packaged to the correct specifications and be of a high quality while maintaining a healthy and safe working environment.
- Leading Hand for wash down crew for many years.
- Improved worksite efficiency by maintaining clean and organized work areas.
