  • Initially started out as work experience to gain more tractor operation, but has now become a casually paid position due to my operator abilities and care and respect for the gear.
  • I have worked with a small team and on my own doing tasks such as carting grain/shingle, discing, ploughing and Cambridge rolling. I have also had some work on a front end loader.
  • Also helped with some stock work such as weighing lambs and vaccinations.
  • Have had a few hours on 13tonne Digger to familiarise myself with it.

  • I started out with Oxford Ag as work experience as a Trainee Machine Operator.
  • After a few months, I was employed on a causal basis.
  • Tasks included operating a rake (v, twin & quad rotor), done a paddock of round baling, double mowers, tube wrapping, cultivation and general yard work/maintenance.
  • Work here has been less as at the height of the season, as I hadn't yet had my licence, so it was a challenge to be able to get me to farm and in gear to learn etc
