My responsibilities at Arcadia included things such as.

Greeted customers.

Assigned staff to specific stations throughout the restaurant.

Provided help in resolving customer complaints.

Performed regular inventory checks on supplies for FOH/Bar, and ordered additional supplies as needed.

Trained new waiters on food service procedures and customer service standards.

Trained staff on the coffee machine.

Arcadia also shuts once a year for the winter period. In 2023 Instead of closing, my partner and I ran a pop-up for six weeks.

As one of the bigger places I have worked, I learned a lot about how important good teamwork is.

My partner and I opened and ran Birds Espresso for six months. We wanted to gain experience within hospitality and see how things work.

We got to hold a launch celebration for Kōrerothe, the podcast.

We also advertised and used local businesses.

I got to learn things such as, how important marketing strategies are to increase awareness and customer engagement.
