  • Manage the set-up of supplier/purchase order scheduling into the DC network for maximum efficiency and availability. Slot purchase orders into DC’s at appropriate times. Implement efficiencies to the inbound operations e.g. ensuring your flow of stock into DCs is smooth across the day and week.
  • Identify, communicate and resolve known and unexpected issues impacting inbound such as ferry cancellations, rail closure etc. Negotiate changes to DC operations to resolve constraints.
  • Build collaborative working relationships with Primary Connect, 3PLs, Supply Planning and Commercial teams. Managing and influencing storage levels at DCs & 3PLs to optimise cost and ensure no operational issues arise as a result from DCs being too full.
  • Monitoring the arrival of containers and managing the prioritisation of container unpacks in collaboration with Nexus, ACFS, Americold, Hiltons, Supply Planning and DCs.
  • Taking appropriate measures to ensure on time delivery of IWTs as well as prompt investigation and resolution of any IWTs lost in transit.
  • Manage the movement of stock for major events (e.g. Christmas, Easter etc.) into the DC and the Store network. Plan for drop dates aligning with DCs and store operations. Assist with the creation of allocations to optimise sales opportunity for all stores whilst minimising markdown at the end of the season. Facilitate the allocation of non-standard articles into the store network.
  • Ensure progress against allocated and self-identified continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Event planning and allocation are also part of this role which means to make sure for any seasonal activity and Job buy events to be planned and managed by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Making sure there is stock in Dc for before the allocation are released in a timely manner to meet the On show dates in store.
