Direct report to 3 Waters and Solid Waste Manager, responsibilities under this role is to supervise and administer the Council's Water & Stormwater Networks, Asset management plans and Operational contracts.

The Key results areas;

• Strategic Management & Planning - Contributing to the strategic direction of the Assets Group through future thinking.
• Annual Business Planning - Assist in development of the annual business plan that is aligned with Asset Group’s strategic direction which details the maintenance programme.
• Asset management - Asset Management Plans and Long-Term Plans are complete
• Asset Database - Assisting in maintaining Council’s water and stormwater asset register. Recording any events, relevant data and costs, and conveying same in writing. Ensuring accuracy and security of this data.
• Contract Administration - Administering and supervising Council’s maintenance and renewal contracts for water and stormwater. Contract administration and supervision include ensuring Contractors and service providers fully comply with Health and Safety, checking and consent monitoring, meeting customers' requirements, managing asset management data capture, and ensuring high standards of service delivery are achieved to satisfaction of external and internal clients. Preparation of plans, estimates, specifications, reports and any other related matters associated with the maintenance activities. Preparing contract payments for approval. Undertaking audits and quality assurance on contracts including safety audits and instructing correctives actions.
• Procurement - All services and activities are procured in accordance with Council’s procurement policy.
• Additional Duties - Fulfilling all other assigned responsibilities and/or project work in a professional and timely manner.

As an Engineer responsible of CAPEX projects and

assisting Regional Senior Engineer Construction - West in an undertaking of any assigned projects by following WAF CAPEX Procedures (such as problem statement, business case, procurement strategy, evaluation, board decision paper etc.) for procurement and implementation of the project.

• Preparation of Tender Documents for Supply of Materials, Procurement of Works and Consultancy Servicer based on FIDIC terms and conditions.

• Graduate engineer mainly involved in compiling reports for site observations and ground testing.
• File report based on ground testing, providing specifications and details of test
• Visit sites and mark ground test locations for bores and bring in sample for testing
