  • Started, built and ran the Roar Combat Academy (martial arts school).
  • Coaching roles/skills - Kickboxing, muay thai, boxing. Alongside the three core styles taught, additionally aspects of taekwondo, karate, hapkido, kung fu, capoeira, brazilian jiu-jitsu, wrestling, and judo were integrated.

  • Purpose - Services were most commonly used by people looking for self improvement (confidence, discipline, focus, resilience, humility etc), fitness (cardio, coordination, flexibility, stability etc), self defence, competition, socialising, therapy (mental health and addiction support).
  • One of the youngest martial arts school owners in the world at the age of 17.
  • Trained two-three thousand students/clients over the course of martial arts career, with around seven thousand hours of hands on coaching experience.
  • Ran adults classes, kids classes, and private one on one sessions. Including classes of fifty students at a time.
  • Managed every aspect of the business including assistant coaches, communication, advertising, merch, social media, website, and accounting.
  • Ran a dedicated fight team. Training, cornering and traveling with athletes for boxing, kickboxing and muay thai competition.
  • Worked through and with organisations such as Oranga Tamariki and Youth 2 Men to rehabilitate troubled youth.
  • Organised and ran own in-house fight show. This was during covid, following government guidelines.
  • Used martial arts skills in the theatre industry to coach actors and choreograph the fight scene for production Takshaka King of the Snakes.
