  • Helped Alzheimers New Zealand in their advocacy for people living with Dementia and their care givers. I was personally motivated by supporting my mother, and others I knew living with dementia.
  • Spoke to a select committee at Parliament with two others, in advising on the lived experience for those navigating systems within New Zealand, the need for improved education to reduce stigma, and help for training for staff working with those living with dementia.
  • Helped the Litmus Group with their research on A Qualitative Research Report on Living with Dementia.
  • Worked on The Dementia Declaration, living well with dementia.
  • This role involved working together as a group and listening with empathy to the lived experiences of others.
