Kia Ora, I'm Mi-hyeon Jang. I've spent five years working in service industry in South Korea. I really enjoy chatting with people and making them feel welcome. It is something I love about my job! Over time, I've been learning English, mostly by chatting with others. I even got a certification in English communication in New Zealand to help me get even better. My goal is to make everyone's visit enjoyable and memorable. With a smile and a strong work ethic, I’ve spent over 5 years in South Korea making customers happy in restaurants and helping shoppers find what they need. I was responsible for smoothly handling payment processing, returns, exchanges, and delivery processes for shopping mall inventory. Also, I always checked the quantity of shopping items so that I could manage better.. In this process, I have studied the shopping company's Ezadmin and Cafe 24 programs to provide professional services to customers using this and got experience how to manage customers smoothly.
Working at a café provided me with valuable experience in crafting professional coffee and various beverages. In addition to mastering these techniques, I gained insight into the smooth operation of the café's systems. Importantly, the café industry emphasizes hospitality, honing my customer service skills and teaching me how to effectively manage busy periods. My proficiency in working at a fast pace, combined with the skills acquired in the café environment, equipped me to excel in running the establishment. Furthermore, I took on the responsibility of training new employees, sharing my expertise in coffee, tea, and merchandise with precision.
By working at a kids cafe, I learned how to serve a wider range of age groups. By interacting with children, I have created a safer and more nurturing environment. Through this work, I realized how influential a leader's leadership is, and also how to manage various people smoothly while interacting with special generations. By talking and building relationships with children, I now have confidence in how to treat them well when they come to my workplace as customers.
During peak hours, I aided the staff by swiftly clearing tables to ensure efficient turnover. I also organized seating arrangements for special events and occasions, ensuring guests were accommodated comfortably. Welcoming guests as they entered the dining area, I promptly provided them with menus and communicate effectively for any specific needs to begin their dining experience.
