An outgoing professional with a year of valuable experience in a media agency, I'm recognised for exuding confidence and possessing excellent communication skills. Thriving in collaborative team environments, I take pride in my ability to quickly learn, maintain organisation, and demonstrate a strong desire to acquire new skills. My blend of interpersonal strengths, media expertise, and eagerness for growth positions me an asset to any business.
I currently work as a Media Executive at D3. My role involves assisting in planning and implementing strategy for two of our biggest clients, Metlifecare Retirement Villages and The Co-operative Bank. I work across both digital and offline media, and work very closely with all major New Zealand publishers across radio, television, print and out of home, which has ultimately given me an extensive understanding of the New Zealand media landscape.
My primary responsibilities include:
With my exposure to the social media agency systems and processes, I was fortunate enough to gain an insight into the opportunities that were available to influencers - and start to curate my own audience. Since then my follower base on Instagram has grown to just under 10,000 and I have been able to monetise that audience with brand collabs across a range of smaller brands and businesses including; GelousTM Nail Polish, Ink By MitiTM, Tidal HairTM, EverblueTM, City Beach AustraliaTM clothing, Me TodayTM vitamins, JagermeisterTM, Clean CollectiveTM beverages, Rinse VodkaTM, Bondi SandsTM skin care, T2TM tea, Trademark LiveTM events (Snoop Dogg, Bay Dreams FestivalTM, Ice Cube), Good Cocktail CoTM, Aimn OceaniaTM gym wear, SuperetteTM, Odd CompanyTM beverages, Matcha MadeTM tea, GlueTM clothing store, Loving Tan OfficialTM tanning products, and Undertow MediaTM PR agency for a selection of the above collaborations.
I love kids - and I’m told I have a real affinity with them - which has led to a good way to support my studies and some amazing long term relationships with two great families to date. That started with 2 year old Avery and her Mum and Dad, Aame and James (reference attached seperately) who I provided four-day a week care (around term & year end study breaks) for just over a year. I then started care for Mackenzie (2 yrs) and her brother Asher (1 yr) for Yvonne and James. As a Nanny, I learnt to be a juggler... manage the routines of the day efficiently, anticipate my kid’s needs and be sensitive to their parent’s approach to parenting. I also really enjoy using my Developmental & Social Psychology training to observe my kid’s progress and think about strategies and techniques that help them flourish.
Working with the Social Sugar social media advertising agency team as a Community Manager on clients such as HubbardsTM, NZ Natural Ice CreamTM and I Love PiesTM Duties included setting-up and implementing social media posts and responding to community feedback and comments in line with specific brand guidelines for each client. I was also able, as an intern, to observe the social media strategy, creative development and implementation process - and learn aspects of account service, the production process and influencer recruitment and management processes.
This role involved gaining work experience at one of NZ’s leading independent advertising agencies. I was tasked with assistant/runner duties within the office. This involved meeting and greeting clients, running errands, organising catering, cleaning, organising and generally trying to make myself useful around the office. I was also roped-in as talent on some productions - including the 2018 Super Rugby brand campaign shoot for The NZ Rugby Union.
