Ryan Narayan

I was given a promotion to banking consultant in October of 2023. My role involves making sure I can get the best result for customer by assessing their financial situation, and making the best recommendation to suit their banking needs. My day to day involves opening accounts (joint, individual, minor and trust accounts), completing Kiwisaver and general insurance through appointments. I really enjoy this role and always ensure that my customer is happy when they walk out the door and make sure they have got the best outcome.

• Analysis of last 3 months bank statements
• Comply with ANZ polices for unsecured lending requirements (personal loan, credit card, overdraft)
• Discuss and assess customers' financial goals and needs to recommend suitable banking products and services.
• Complying with AML polices and procedures ensuring work is accurate and detailed.
• Overlooking and training new staff members on how to open accounts, complete kiwisaver and general insurance.
• Constant check in with appointment booked customers to see if the product open has suited their needs.
• Prepared reports detailing banking activities such as transaction history, interest income earned.

My role at ANZ as a Service Consultant involves making sure customers receive the best outcome possible and that they leave the branch happy. My role includes, helping customers achieve their financial goals. Overall my day to day in this role includes greeting customers at the counter with any queries, or transactions they would like to make.

• Promoting and maintaining customer satisfaction through their friendly and efficient service
• Collaborate with other bank employees to ensure customers' needs are met, such as coordinating with loan officers or branch managers to facilitate complex transactions or requests
• Ensuring the accuracy of transactions and safeguarding customer funds by verifying identification and counting cash accurately
• Playing my part in making sure I am complying to AML and financial hardship policies and procedures
• Provide front-line customer service by assisting customers with their financial needs and transactions.
• Complying with rules and regulation's of handling large amounts of cash.
• Collecting and verifying data such as address verification and identification to comply with customer due diligence requriemetns

My role as a Shop Assistant at the Warehouse included tasks such as managing the stores online/click and collects which included picking and packing. I also helped customers with any queries that they had about any items and ensured that they had a good customer experience when visiting the store. My day to day would involve picking and packing online orders, managing stock levels, balancing at the end of the day and dealing with customer enquiries.

• Assisted in training new employees on standard operating procedures within the store environment.
• Recommended, selected and located merchandise based on customer desires.
• Performed opening, closing procedures for the store including counting money in cash drawers at start, end of shifts.
• Handled incoming shipments and ensured that all items were properly tagged and priced before placing them on shelves or counters for sale.
• Performed floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and housekeeping to keep sales areas well-stocked, organized and current.
• Provided excellent service and attention to customers when face-to-face or through phone conversations.
