My current job is asphalting working on roads doing car parks, driveways and main roads.

• Showing up to work on time, hours could be different everyday depending on what we got on so being able to show up to work on time is a must.
• Loading up the truck with the correct gear required for the job ahead.
• Once on site unloading all the gear and getting set up for the job.
• Start by spraying tac on the surface where the asphalt will be laid require 2-3 guys one person holding the line one person spraying and someone in the ute driving.
• My main job is wheel barrels at the moment as i’m still learning this new trade.
• Since being at this job I have gotten my Wheels tracks and rollers done on my license as well my class two full truck license.
• If needed I can drive the cab around to get us to and from sites as well as driving with a trailer hooked on.

• I am currently still doing security work on my weekends.
• Crowd control at events bars and nightclubs.
• Communicate with onsite staff and owners to ensure a safe and fun night.
• Staff training, mentoring, upskilling and training staff with processes, protocols and implanting health and safety guidelines for the team.
• De-escalating conflict and dealing with intoxication and disorderly behaviour.

• Picking packing orders to supply the whole south island.
• Receiving inwards and checking off screens that come into the warehouse.
• Licensed forklift, reach truck, wave operator.
• Unload and load trucks and containers.
• Organizing the schedule for the team and briefing everyone on the plan for the day.
• Ensuring a safe and clean working environment for the team.

• Picking packing orders to supply the south island.
• Unloading and loading delivery trucks in the morning and afternoon.
• Restocking shelf and weekly stock checks making sure we had the correct amount of any product on site.
• Used reach trucks and pallet jacks.
• The main working space was in the freezer.
• Worked here during covid lockdown becoming an essential worker at the time.

• Heavy lifting of boards/GIB and delivering to construction, commercial and residential sites.
• We needed to work fast and efficiently, this involved calling the builders in regards to the delivery and communicating with other workers as a safety procedure.
• Communicating with customers to ensure the site was safe and ready for delivery.
• Depending on the access of the site and the weight of the delivery we would have more workers on site to help out.
• We would do three deliveries a day that would take roughly an hour and a half to do each.
