• Transitioned into working on more complex projects of varying scales, gaining expertise in collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, effectively coordinating with architects, contractors, and clients, and ensuring designs meet both technical specifications and budgetary constraints.

Significant Projects

• Westlands Lactoferrin Pipe Bridges| Acted as the structural engineer responsible for the seismic assessment and strengthening of existing pipe bridges, as well as the design of new pipe bridges. The project consisted of approximately 1000m of pipe bridges. Worked in close partnership with mechanical engineers to create innovative and practical design solutions.

• Waipuna Rise Townhouses B1| Responsible for the structural design of 11 three-storey townhouses on a sloping site in Queenstown, delivering the design successfully within a compressed timeframe. Worked closely with architects to ensure seamless integration of the structural design with the overall project vision, as well as with geotechnical engineers to resolve site-related challenges.
• Halswell Pak'n'Save| Responsible for the structural design of a 7,000 sqm supermarket, with concept and preliminary design stages completed successfully and detailed design currently underway. Collaborated with architects and project managers to ensure the design meets both functional requirements and aesthetic goals.

• Launched career during a pivotal phase of growth in the structural engineering field, gaining extensive exposure to diverse projects of varying sizes and complexities, which helped me develop a versatile skill set and an ability to adapt to different project demands.
• Developed and implemented customized calculation template sheets to streamline project delivery, resulting in improved efficiency and reduced project turnaround time.

Significant Projects

• 11 Conifer Lane| Served as the structural engineer of a three-story multi-unit residential block building with suspended concrete floor, retaining walls, and portal frames. Worked closely with architects to develop a cost-effective and efficient design.
• New Brighton Police Station| Served as the structural engineer for the renovation of the New Brighton police station, providing seismic strengthening solutions and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
• 42 Te Raki Drive| Served as the structural engineer for the design of a concrete foundation on driven timber piles in challenging soil conditions. Collaborated closely with geotechnical engineers.

• Teaching Assistant for ENCI336 - Structural Design at University of Canterbury.
• Conducted weekly tutorial sessions in groups to reinforce key concepts covered in lectures.
• Graded assignments, providing detailed feedback to students on their performance.

• Installation and application of concrete reinforcement materials, including fiber-reinforced polymers (FRP) and carbon fiber sheets, for structural strengthening projects.
• Concrete crack repair with epoxy resin injection.
