Work History

Seminary Teacher

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
Grey Lynn, Auckland
09.2022 - Current
  • Since returning home from my service as a missionary, I have been assigned to be our ward seminary teacher.
  • I spend every morning from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m., studying the word of God with the youth, ages 14-18.
  • For the past two years, going on three now, I have spent time serving and learning alongside our youth. I have built a good relationship with the kids, as well as their parents, as I have counseled them and with local church leaders regarding their learning and progress in class throughout the year.

Full Time Missionary

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
Wellington, Wellington City
02.2021 - 07.2022
  • I spent 18 months of my life dedicating my time to serving and ministering to the people within the New Zealand, Wellington Mission.During my service, I was given many opportunities to love and serve different families from all sorts of backgrounds.
  • We used our time studying the scriptures daily, then prayerfully preparing lessons to help meet the needs of our friends whom we were teaching at the time.
  • During those 18 months, I was also able to serve alongside many companions. One of the beautiful things about serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was getting the opportunity to learn about the Savior and grow as I served with others who love Him as much as I do.
  • We were also blessed with opportunities to work alongside the wonderful youth and children in the Primary, whose ages ranged from 5 to 18. It was awesome learning about how much these children love the Lord, and want to know how to follow Him more faithfully.
  • My companions and I would spend time planning and preparing various ways to reach out to, and serve, the wider community.
  • Most Saturdays, we would spend doing service projects. Some weekends could look like baking for the families in our ward, or it could look like a couple of hours of gardening for young families who are preparing to welcome their first beautiful baby. And sometimes it would just be a quick visit to one of our church friends, whom we haven't seen in a while, just to see how they're doing.
  • I counseled with other missionaries and local church leaders on how we can cater to the needs of local church members and friends who might need our help.
  • This voluntary experience has continued to bless me with a burning desire to serve, teach, and show Christ-like love to all in the best way I can.

I am currently serving as a Seminary Teacher for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Outside of my calling as a teacher and working hours, I love spending quality time with my family, especially my younger siblings. It has been a blessing to watch them grow and flourish. I enjoy a good feed and love listening to good music. One of my favorite things to do with my family is sing. It fills our home and hearts with a good spirit and joy.
