I enjoy most outdoor activities and sports, especially football. During my time at university my interest in football led me to the position of club treasurer and the following year, progressed to me being elected as club captain. My passion for football has followed me into construction while playing for teams close to the projects I've worked on in New Zealand, Sierra Leone and West Wales. While in West Wales I organized a Charity Match between contractors, raising money for Cancer Research & I was involved in organizing a Football tournament in the village of Pepel in Sierra Leone with the villagers benefiting from the proceeds. Whilst in New Zealand I set up two 5 a side football teams with colleagues at McConnell Dowell, one men's team, the other mixed who competed in an indoor league. I also have been fortunate enough to scale Mt Kilimanjaro, raising £7,000 for the Alzheimers Society. More recently my main past time is spending as much time as I can with my family, having two young daughters and for the last five years volunteering as a firefighter in Warkworth fire brigade.
