- Commercial free-dived for kina (sea urchin)
- Work as part of a dive team of four divers and one boatman.
- Kina is harvested to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Often traveling up to 160 kilometers per day to dive for quality products.
- At times, working in the factory, processing live product for market
- Work sometimes required the crew to travel much further down the North Island and dive the Tora Coast, Southern Wairarapa, for Paua.
- Currently working with the dive crew in Wairarapa and NZ Sea Urchin.
