- Assist all patients in all areas in the hospital with daily living activities, including bathing and bathroom needs
- Able to lift and turn residents to change dressings and transfer from chair to bed
- Assist with meal and exercises
- Entertain residents by reading stories, hosting game nights and playing songs
- Providing medication to patient
- Providing services to residents in a manner which is sensitive to and respectful of individual differences, dignity, privacy and choice
- Assisting with the personal care needs of residents as outlined in their individual care plan
- This may include showering, dressing, grooming, toileting and bed changing
- Assisting with meal service to ensure residents receive adequate nutrition and fluids
- Assisting residents with mobility and communication and encouraging socialization by promoting activities programmers, whilst maintaining residents right to privacy and choice
- Observing and accurately documenting resident health conditions and any changes in a timely manner
- Communicating with visitors and family to ensure enquires and requests are coordinated and communicated
- Assisting the Registered Nurse and other staff required
- Were qualified and competent, administering medication to residents according to care plan
- Participating in raining, in-service education and meetings as required
- Ensuring your own safety and that of other staff and residents by; Understanding and complying with health and safety policy and procedures, wearing protective clothing and using protective equipment, reporting any pain or discomfort as soon as possible, reporting all accidents and incidents, and communicating any health and safety concerns to your manager
- Understanding and complying with all other relevant policies and procedures
- Performing any other duties that we reasonably require you to do
