Managed two Recycling Events Officers to deliver a program of events across the borough, focused on waste minimisation and improving recycling. Their target for the year was 40 events, when I left they had delivered 35 and were on track to hit 70.
Led the implementation of the Councils Plastic Policy. Developed a Council wide Plastic Action Plan and established a cross departmental working group to aid in delivery.
Worked alongside the procurement team to increase social value.
Launched the internal Plastic-Free Council campaign. Started audits across the Council to remove all non-essential single-use plastic.
Planned and delivered the love recycling area at Notting Hill Carnival collaborating with Every Can Counts. Which included the production of a 4ft high I heart NHC mesh sign that was filled with cans and engaged with 4500 people over two days.
Improvement works on estates, reviewing collection infrastructure of sites, frequency of collections and monitoring collections by our contractor.

Delivered behavior change campaigns via multiple streams including online media, advertising, events, talks and school visits.
A big focus on the Love Food Hate Waste campaign. I developed the idea for our 'Second Hand Smoothie' events, using rescued food from local markets and a smoothie bike. Over eight events we talked to 3,433 residents and distributed 1800 materials to aid food reduction.
Supervised events assistants and event volunteers.
Produced a ‘Twelve Days of Waste-Free’ Christmas video with staff from our Household Waste Recycling Centres. Viewed over 3000 times.
Created an online Swishing guide (clothes swapping) getswishing.com.
Established a network of swishing events in local Libraries.
Received a LARAC Award (Local Authority Recycling Advisory Committee) for Best Team; where we were praised for the volume of events and high reach we achieved as such a small team.

Visited schools and hosted community talks on the 3 R's.
Organised a large Swishing event with 180 attendees. I gained the support of six local charities to provide clothes for a charity shop fashion show, persuaded a local radio host to compere and the local youth group to provide the nights music.
Trained collection crews to tackle contamination.
Monitored and evaluated waste data to improve existing recycling services, campaigns, reward schemes and communication packages.
