Summary
I am a 36 year old graduate from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Zoology. I also completed the National Certificate of Veterinary Nursing at Otago Polytechnic in 2012, and have been working as a veterinary nurse for the past 13 years. I am currently working at Vets on Balmac as a Veterinary Nurse. Before this I worked full time as a veterinary nurse in a number of clinics in Wellington and Dunedin. From these jobs I have gained a lot of experience in surgery, hospital care and working with clientele. I have great people skills and communicate clearly and professionally with all customers and co-workers. I have excellent time management and am a competent and dedicated employee. I am respectful and mindful of other people, and will try to learn as much as possible from any situation that I am presented with, as well as completing tasks to the best of my abilities. I am a quick learner, and work well under pressure. I have completed volunteer work with DOC and the SPCA, and I am passionate about the environment and New Zealand in general. I have a 7 year old son who I have shared custody of. I am available to cover any hours, after hours and weekend shifts on the week I do not have my son in my care. I am available to work between 09:00am - 2:30pm Monday to Friday during the week I have him as he is at school. I am currently working as a full time Veterinary Nurse, and would need to provide my employer with up to 4 weeks notice.
